character tournaments are here where the contestants must fight a 2/3 match as the designated character for the current week's tournament.
The winner of each tournament will receive a 'title' such as for this week's mario tournament, Plumber for Hire. I'll need suggestions for other characters' titles so if you have any ideas feel free to post here or tell me in chat.
The character for this week is mario and will be fought on final destination 3 stock 2/3. I plan to start this tournament around 5 pm central, GMT-6, on saturday August 9th. I wasn't sure what time would be good for anyone who wants to join so suggestions for a time are helpful.
For future character tournaments i have thought of fighting on a character's home stage and using items related to the character. For example, in the ness tournament i thought of having stage set to onette and turning on reflector and mr. porky items. Tell me what you think of this as I don't plan on using this idea very often as it wouldn't decide who is best with a character.
The order of the tournament's will start with mario and go straight down the list then to the next column and so on. So the tournament on the 16th will be luigi's.(and as said above the stage could be luigi's mansion if it is the popular opinion.)
If you have any other ideas on what could make these tournaments better you can also post that here. and I wasn't really thinking of having ya'll post here to sign up for the tourney I was just thinking to have ya'll show up on the day of the tourney in the chat room:
